On June 2nd 2021, the 1 year anniversary of #BlackoutTuesday, over 450 individuals, corporations & organizations and government institutions from the Canadian music and creative industries gathered in solidarity to sign the BDRB Declaration to End Anti-Black Racism in the Canadian Music Industry. 

In 2021, BDRB was awarded the #ForTheLoveOfLIVE Award - Coalition/Collaboration by Canadian Music Week (CMW) and the Canadian Live Music Association (CLMA) for championship and advocacy work helping to enhance the interests of the live music industry.

BDRB continues to engage in groundbreaking equity research & data innovation, programming and training resulting in actionable, measurable outcomes making a positive impact on future generations of music and creative industry professionals, globally.
