A Conversation on anti-Black racism in the East Coast Music Industry (Episode 1)
In this introductory panel on anti-Black racism, Black music professionals will discuss their experiences in the East Coast music industry. Featuring CANDID conversation with key stakeholders in the region, BDRB will attempt to identify issues faced by Black artists and music professionals and THEIR proposed solutions to the creation of a more equitable and financially viable music scene.

Breaking Down Racial Barriers What We Heard and What's Next

he 2021 ECMA cycle was the first introduction to Breaking Down Racial Barriers, a series of discussions with the goal to bring awareness to and understanding of the barriers that Black artist and music industry professionals face in our region. One year later, we bring everyone back together to share the findings of those conversations. With an understanding of where we are today (as of May 7, 2022), actionable strategies will also be discussed so that attendees can start to make impactful change.
