FAIR TREATMENT & ETHICS

The 4th in the CIMA Next Steps Workshops series focuses on the concept of Ethical and Fair Treatment in the music and creative industries for marginalized groups. The entertainment industry has vocalized its commitment to equity - however, this goal cannot be achieved without changing the culture of unfair and unethical treatment, which, albeit historically prevalent across the entire landscape, has an even more adverse and damaging impact for groups which have been excluded, underrepresented and disadvantaged by systemic racism.
